Just a Short Post
Very Startup looking place ;) |
Just some updates here about LumiereVR, our plans and our goals for the next little bit.
Jenny left early this morning at 4 am to seek funding opportunities in China, leaving me with some time to plan out our next steps as well as fix up our place a little bit.
First off, got the Scrum Board going inspired by the one at VURU headquarters.
Fully decked out and color coded by concentration. This week had all been about logistics, setting up mentor meetings, housing, financing, and various other housekeeping errands.
Next week, we're going to be focused completely on design. That includes UX/UI of our platform and a complete redesign of our Logo and Brand.
I'm super excited to work with our mentors on that and really looking forward to building all of this out.
I realized I never really made a post about VR and where we fit into the whole VR map, so i'll get to that asap!
Here's a short description of us and also our goals and plans for the next lil while
VR: The Empathy Machine allowing us to live the experience of another person ( I will do a full post on VR).
Problem: Millennials, we are the largest generation yet with 96 M people, that's 16M more than the Boomer generation. However the generation is divided. Half of us are lethargic, apathetic folks who aren't doing much, the other half blessed with the infrastructure built for us by the last generation are sailing through life disrupting every industry known to mankind. Those of us who have seen the light are constantly finding new mediums to share our stories and inspire our unmotivated counterparts. That is why social media has been so prevalent among this generation. The other half isn't really hopeless either, they're looking, browsing through posts of successful people, hoping to find something that clicks with them so they too can join the party on the other side. I believe the one thing they're looking for is realism. Realism relative to them. Realism that can be brought to them through Virtual Reality.
Solution: I believe the solution is a portal, a portal to everyone's world. Where bloggers and vloggers can leverage 360 filming technology to share every angle of their life. Where Artists and Makers can create total immersive VR worlds to inspire their fans. A sharing platform that finally does Virtual Reality right, allowing it to truly do what it does best. LumiereVR is where you can share your day in life effortlessly through immersive VR experiences.
Target Audience: We will be focused on content creators rather than consumers to begin with
- Segment 1: Bloggers/Vloggers
- Segment 2: Independent Artists
Okay this post is longer than I expected, so i'll close on a lighter notes ...
Finally gone to the Market so we can save some cash on food, also thinking of moving to a half soylent diet sometimes in the next week or so. Although I couldn't help myself on the way back to stop at Le Thai again for a Thai Ice Coffee.
and finally got hangers and shelving for all our stuff... required a total of 30 hangers.... and I thought I packed light !
to be continued...
