Starting up is never easy, you can have no bed, no desk, not even toilet paper, but the most important thing is to have faith. For us we believe in unicorns, unicorns are what distinguishes the winners from the losers, unicorns are the only thing that matters, unicorns are the only things we chase after, the only club we want to join!
Okay all jokes aside today marks the day we explore a little bit of Vegas, that means food, entertainment, and definitely the accelerator and all our future mentors!
We started the day out by taking a quick dip into the pool, buffering ourselves from the intense heat. Its about 38 degrees Celsius today, and we had our first dining experience in the desert at Le Thai, I don't know about Jenny but it was honestly one of the best I've had ( check out the restaurant page of this blog!).
On the left here is right outside Le Thai leading up to Fremont street, I know I just talked about starting the day and the picture is of night time = =' but I didn't really take a picture during the day, besides the lights make everything look better!
Below is looking out the window from my room, at 3 am.... The party definitely goes non stop here. To some this might be super annoying but to a startup that constantly needs beta testers this place is like a gold mine !
We then dropped by work in progress to visit George from the Vegas Tech Fund, the very person who first introduced us to the different opportunities here in Vegas. Then onwards to meet Sara in person finally, checking out the co-working space.
There we were able to score some awesome AWS shirts for our friend +Luke running http://startupshirts.org/
We ended the day back at Le Thai again debriefing the day and figuring out our next steps from now onwards.
It's kind of a surreal feeling but here on its 24/7 dev mode + sales sales sales until demo day.
we do leave room for some fun for sure though ;)
only in Vegas can you find something like this....
....to be continued
